We will start with a short demo, where I will assess your requirements and your current skill. This includes your technique, understanding of guitar and music theory.

In my opinion, music stands on 2 pillars; Beats and Rhythm. By rhythm, I mean the timing. If these are weak, everything will suffer. This is true for any musician.

I am a big advocate for metronomic practice.

If you are a beginner, we will first work on getting you attuned to playing with a metronome. But everything that is learnt, will be practiced over backing tracks. So these will not be some tedious finger exercises only, you will learn to play actual music. This will be accompanied by music theory lessons which help overall understanding.

This also means, in the beginning, I will determine what songs you'll be playing. BUT, I'm not so stubborn. Once you have the required foundation, we will pick up some songs which you like. The main aim is to make you independent.

 

Once a particular skill is achieved and you want to move forward, we will use the same approach. But from my experience and method of teaching, learning becomes much more faster and fun as you have a very good understanding and a rock solid foundation.

 

All the study and practice material which is required by my students is provided free of cost, except for the gear ofcourse!
